A collection of colorful plein air landscapes. I love painting outdoors because everything changes moment to moment, season to season. This is particularly evident where I live in St. Louis, Missouri. It's an amazing contrast to Miami, Florida, where I grew up.
Trying to capture this fleeting essence is the beauty of painting outside. Many of these paintings were done in the city of St. Louis and outlying historical neighborhoods.

I absolutely love drawing with ink. Mixing delicate line work with the spontaneous flow of water and ink is like watching worlds form and collide. The energy and motion that it evokes is, to me, what life is all about. Kind of like punctuation, using inks are the quickest form of expression.

A collection of expressive, colorful, abstract style Diva inspired paintings. The complexities of women fascinate me. (Can I say that's because I AM one and I'll forever be trying to figure me out?) Costumed, colorful, nude, subtle, outrageous, delicate, graceful. It's all part of womanhood and I will forever love painting the female form.
As I once heard it so eloquently stated, 'They're all a manifestation of Eve!' Right?

Sometimes, the only way to communicate on canvas or paper is to not paint that particular thing, but to paint what that object or situation evokes. Often, things have an ephemeral quality that involve color, shape and line, invoking a sense of wholeness.

Hearts and butterflies express my deepest desires to be free and my wish to love and to be loved. Whenever I paint a heart or a butterfly, I give myself the complete freedom to go to any place where my imagination can take me.

A collection of abstractly painted flowers from the garden and the interiors in which they reside! I get immeasurable joy placing flowers around the house and seeing how they transform a space. There is nothing more glorious than the colors of flowers.

A collection of figurative and abstract black and white drawings done in charcoal and black and white acrylics. I always go back to drawing the figure in basic black and white. It beautifully captures the elegance of line and simplicity.

These hearts were originally painted for the organ donor families who participated in the Donate Life float at the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, California. They were painted on plexiglass and then photographed at high resolution, set with different colored backgrounds.
Paintings and ink drawings of dogs
A beautiful dog with with a beautiful heart. His loving spirit was a joy to paint.
Wonderful pup that found its way to his forever home through the good works of Stray Rescue, St Louis. He was unrecognizable as a dog when he was first brought into the rescue center. He is now healthy and living the life in his new, loving home. His ‘people’ adore him!
This painting was done of a dog rescued by Stray Rescue, of St. Louis. He found a wonderful, forever home.
This little cutie had his portrait painted for his adoring family! He was eventually outnumbered by three little humans, but still has center stage on the fireplace mantle!
This pit bull puppy was lying in a ditch off of a St. Lous interstate. A trucker going by, unable to stop, called Stray Rescue of St. Louis to say that he’d seen, what looked like a puppy, lying on the side of the road. They found him with broken bones and unable to move. He is now in his forever home with his rescuer!
